We want to share 5 tips and tricks we use to stage our model home kitchens, that you can use if your house is on the market. They say that kitchens sell a home!
1. Fill your home with pleasant aromas.
A good smelling home can have an immediate effect on the way we feel and think. We like having fresh baked goods that clients can smell…and EAT! It's quick to whip up a batch of cookies before a showing.
If you are having an open house with more people, it is nice to have some appetizers and refreshments for the potential home buyers. It makes them feel like spending a little more time in the space and getting the feel of home.
2. Bring in florals and plants, fresh or faux.
Bringing in fresh greens adds a stylish touch and brings life to a space. In this home we used real herbs in the kitchen. It is something that is used in a kitchen, and they smell great too!
3. Amp up the lighting!
Have all the lights on (ambient, task and accent) and have a candle going as well. It makes a space feel warm and welcoming.
4. Accessorize in 3’s.
Odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye, and scale is important as well. All 3 items should be different sizes. These candle sticks are from Pottery Barn and add the perfect warmth to this all white kitchen.
5. Now is the time to renovate!
Kitchens are the heart of the home, and one of the biggest selling points for home buyers. If you are thinking of renovating, this is where you will see a return on your investment. This is a kitchen renovation we just finished. We kept the existing layout and cabinets, which really helped on costs.
